The Lieutenant Governor heavily contributes to policy as a part of the Governor's cabinet and as their advisor. This office also takes on executive duties & has the ability to pass and veto legislation when the governor is out of state. While this office oversees senate proceedings, most importantly, Lt. Governor of NV is in charge of boosting entertainment tourism, its economy, & job expansion .
JOBS & TOURISM
As tourism has tanked, Nevada is experiencing its highest unemployment levels - not accounting for lost contract jobs, shift cuts, & wage reductions. It is time to invite new industries, & incorporate higher paying, livable wage jobs...
Keeping tourists engaged & workers employed. Many candidates are talking about affordability, but no one is talking about the unemployment crisis. As someone who has had to experience this in real time, knows the broken unemployment systems, & has seen the failure of hiring jobs, BridgieNix knows that even the most affordable lifestyle is still out of reach if the masses remain unemployed.

FILM & MEDIA
Nevada currently has 0 large scale sound stages, minimal local resources, & generates more revenue that goes back to other states. By building a film infrastructure, distributing cheap or free permits, & incentivizing local film, we can support our techs, filmmakers, & performers.

LIVE ENTERTAINMENT
Eliminating the entertainment tax for residency shows, streamlining difficult performer permits, & expanding medium tier theatre spaces will make it easier for shows to fill and generate revenue again. We need more artists in charge of the industry they serve. We must review exemption for this tax on sports in order to generate state revenue..

TOURISM
Incorporating family fun, childcare, a museum district, fairs, wellness retreats, amusement parks, above ground trams, all inclusive resorts, & transportation to tourist destinations from hotels, Nevada will attract gen z and millennial tourists who currently choose other states over ours. Reviving tourism is high priority.

LABOR LAWS
Protecting workers by raising minimum wage, mandating pay transparency on job postings & auditions, raising safer work place standards, eradicating non competes, overturning SB8, banning free labor, preventing harassment, incorporating hazard pay, & eliminating loop holes for overtime & holiday pay.

PARKS & REC
Expanding wellness culture, events, education, & activities in our state parks supports tourism, families, & jobs. We should not be selling off public land, but rather preserve it & promote native culture, animals, & hiking opportunities Nevada offers. Incentivizing casinos to offer free shuttles to these landmarks would boost tourism.

MUSIC & ARTS
Building mid-tier venues supporting local art shows, museums, & versatile music tastes invite travelers that typically don't consider Nevada. Our current music offerings cater to limited demographics. Offering expanded visual, musical, performing, & film art support in creative spaces provides wider options for those who shy away from Nevada as a vacation spot.
